Accessibility information

Information about the barriers of our camp is shown here. We give an overview of the barriers that we are dealing with and trying to abolish or reduce. It reflects the current status and is revised regularly. Please give us feedback if you are missing important information, barriers have not been considered or if you have questions about accessibility. You can reach us at the following email address: access_stopdeportation@riseup.net.

We try our best to respond spontaneously to your needs. At the info point you can get a phone number that you can contact with any concerns.

Infrastructure of the camp:

  •    There is a rollable Dixi toilet.
  •     We are building an accessible shower: the ramp has a 10° incline. The area is 90x120cm.
  •     The sinks are no higher than 80 cm.
  •     We organized floor plates to make the camp area easier to drive on.
  •     There is a large sleeping tent in which it should be possible to roll.
  •     If you cannot or do not want to sleep on site due to barriers, we can offer you a wheelchair-accessible apartment in Karlshorst for overnight stays.
  •     We mark obstacles and danger spots. We use high-contrast colors for this.
  •     We have a wheelchair available with a seat of 48 cm.

Orientation:

  •   There are signs with symbols and words.
  • There is an information point. The following information is available there:
    • Information about barriers at the camp

  • In the large circus tent there are places for wheelchair users at the front. And there is seating.
  • The program of our camp can trigger due to its content. We will work with trigger warnings, but cannot guarantee that triggers will not arise from spontaneous statements.

medics:

  • There are paramedics at the camp. There is a sanitary tent.

Retreat rooms:

  • There are several quieter places on the camp. This includes:
    •  A library
    • An awareness tent
    •  A Flinta* safer space
    •  A BiPoC safer space
    •  We are trying to set up an additional TINA Safer Space (+ for neurodivergent people)
  •  Noise protection headphones and fidget toys are provided by our awareness team.

Arrival and departure:

  • The following website provides information on the functionality of the lifts at the departure and arrival points: https://www.brokenlifts.org/stations and https://sbahn.berlin/Fahren/bahnhofsuebersicht/. You can also contact us and we will try to find out information.
  • If you arrive with the S-Bahn at the station “Zeuthen”, we have shuttle buses to the camp.
  • We also have a bus with an electric wheelchair ramp. Please contact the shuttle phone 01577 86 89 16 before traveling, as Zeuthen train station is not barrier-free.

Corona:

  • There is a Covid concept.
  • The camp takes place outdoors. Workshops will take place in tents.

Emergency:

  • In emergencies, we will work with the 2-senses principle. In addition to acoustic signals (megaphone), we will also use light signals (flashing signals).
  • We will agree with you in which tent you will sleep and mark this with your consent so that people can wake you up and pick you up in an emergency.
